The MAP organizes transportation investments into a 5-Year Plan, a 20-Year Transportation Strategy, and ongoing programs. These investments show where Los Angeles may focus future mobility resources, while recognizing that project delivery will depend on funding, staffing, readiness, legal requirements, coordination opportunities, and future Citywide CIP and budget decisions.

5-Year Plan

The 5-Year Plan identifies near-term transportation projects and programs that may move forward as funding, staffing, project readiness, legal requirements, and delivery coordination are confirmed. Use the map below to explore projects included in the 5-Year Plan.

20-Year Transportation Strategy

The 20-Year Transportation Strategy identifies longer-term transportation needs that may require additional planning, funding, coordination, or project development before they can move forward.

Programs

Programs are ongoing transportation investments that operate differently from one-time capital projects. They include work that supports mobility needs across the city, such as legally required improvements, maintenance and operations, mobility services, safety programs, and pilot initiatives.

What This Means

Being included in the MAP means a project, program, or need has been identified as part of the City’s mobility planning framework. It does not mean every project is fully funded or ready for construction. Future delivery will depend on funding, staffing, project readiness, legal requirements, community coordination, Citywide CIP coordination, and budget decisions.
