Peak Hour Lane Removal Program

As directed by the City Council, LADOT is making a targeted safety improvement along streets by repurposing peak-hour travel lanes to better fit the needs of corridors.

The first phase of this process identifies peak hour lanes on streets with lower volumes of traffic to be converted to full-time parking lanes. This change reflects the City’s ongoing commitment to safer, more livable streets for everyone - reducing vehicle speeds, reducing conflicts, and increasing parking availability. Based on traffic volumes on the corridor during peak travel hours, this change is expected to have minimal impact on congestion.

This phase includes the following street segments: (view on map)
