Share Your Feedback on Mobility Near Dodger Stadium
Dodger Stadium is one of our City’s most iconic venues, hosting baseball games, concerts, and other major events with tens of thousands of attendees. That type of demand can create issues of congestion, parking shortages, accessibility concerns, and other challenges for visitors and the many Angelenos who live and work near Elysian Park.
LADOT is conducting a transportation study to identify potential strategies to improve mobility near Dodger Stadium and address these impacts. This study will look at conditions on…
Join LADOT for the Pico Boulevard Open House
LADOT is in the final stages of the design process for the Pico Boulevard Safety and Mobility Safety Plan Project! LADOT created a proposed design for the project area that adds protected bike lanes between Crenshaw Boulevard and Figueroa Street, a continuous center turn lane, new signalized crossings at Manhattan Place and New Hampshire Avenue, new curb ramps, and sidewalk repairs.
This redesign was developed following extensive community outreach, including pop-up and tabling events, presentations to local schools and…
Announcing LA's First Capital Infrastructure Program
Earlier this month, Mayor Bass announced Los Angeles’ first Capital Infrastructure Program (CIP), laying out a roadmap for the City to reform and improve the way it maintains and builds new infrastructure. LA’s Capital Infrastructure Program includes 10 recommendations to achieve this vision. You can learn more about the CIP and read those recommendations on the CIP Overview website.
Our City’s ability to build and maintain roads, sidewalks, curb ramps, and other public infrastructure directly impacts the…
The Metro D Line Extension is Open!
Last week marked a huge milestone for public transportation in Los Angeles: the opening of the Metro D Line extension! Section 1 of the planned extension brings three new transit stations to the region–Wilshire/La Cienega, Wilshire/Fairfax, and Wilshire/La Brea–closing a critical gap in LA’s transit network and connecting Mid-City all the way to Union Station.
The D Line extension will be a game changer for our City. Wilshire Boulevard is one of LA’s busiest corridors, and with these three new stops more Angelenos will have an…
Celebrating Bike Month
May is National Bike Month! Riding a bike has many benefits, like increasing fitness, reducing emissions, and saving money on gas and parking. But perhaps most importantly, riding a bike is fun! At LADOT, we are committed to making our streets safer so that more people can take part in the joy of bicycling. Our goal is to build bicycle infrastructure that ensures everyone–from ages 8 to 80–feels safe and comfortable to ride.
LADOT has several projects in the works to make our City safer for cyclists. Construction is currently underway on the Mid-…
Shaping LA’s Mobility Future
LADOT has been out across Los Angeles connecting with residents to shape the City’s Mobility Action Plan, which will prioritize transportation infrastructure investments over the next five and 20 years. From November 2025 through March 2026, our team met people where they are—at parks, transit stations, and community events—gathering input on how we can build a safer, more accessible, and more connected transportation system.
Through this effort, we engaged more than 4,500 Angelenos at nearly 30 events across the city. We also partnered with…
CicLAvia Returns This Sunday
CicLAvia is back this weekend! We’ll be kicking off the 2026 season this Sunday, April 26, with a new route through West LA, running along Westwood Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard. From 9am - 4pm three miles of streets will be closed to cars and open for moving, exploring, and connecting with neighbors.
Open streets events like CicLAvia serve as a powerful reminder of what our City streets can be when we prioritize people and create spaces for community. Streets can bring people together and be more than just how we get from A to B.…
UBM Expands with New Bike Wallet Pilot
LADOT’s Universal Basic Mobility (UBM) Pilot program seeks to eliminate the mobility barriers and reduce emissions in historically underserved neighborhoods. Since expanding the Mobility Wallet into Phase II and launching the South LA LAnow on demand shuttle, we’ve continued to make progress providing green transportation options through the UBM pilot!
The South Central Power Up (SCPU) program, launched in 2024, expands mobility options in South LA by providing long-term loans of e-bikes to participants at no cost. Now, LADOT and…
LADOT Celebrates Earth Month
April is Earth Month, an opportunity to reflect on the choices we make and the impact they have on our City and the planet. At LADOT, that work is happening every day. From the buses on our streets to the bike lanes in our neighborhoods, we’re focused on making it easier for Angelenos to move in cleaner, greener, more connected ways.
One of LADOT’s biggest commitments is transitioning our entire transit fleet to zero emission vehicles by 2028. We’ve already rolled out more than 160 zero emission DASH buses–more than half of our fleet–…
Bringing Speed Safety Systems to LA
Last year, 290 people died in car crashes in the City of Los Angeles, and one in five fatal crashes is attributed to speeding. LADOT remains committed to addressing these preventable crashes through a safe systems approach that incorporates engineering, education, and enforcement for safety related traffic violations like speeding.
As we continue to advance engineering and education efforts, I look forward to introducing LADOT’s speed safety systems pilot to advance our collective goal of making streets safer for all users. Speed…
