Each route is designed to serve travel within that neighborhood and to connect to other regional transit services such as Metro Rapid and local routes, Metrolink and Metro rail lines. The fare is only 50 cents a ride with cash, 35 cents with a TAP card, 25 cents for seniors and the disabled. Access cardholders, Cityride cardholders, and students with a Metro Reduced Fare TAP card travel free.
Commuter Express will get you to your destination comfortably, safely and efficiently. Commuter Express makes a limited number of stops, making travel times shorter. Whether your commute takes you to Downtown Los Angeles or another major center, LADOT's Commuter Express is ready to serve you.
Cityride is a transportation assistance program for individuals age 65 or older and qualified persons with disabilities residing in the City of Los Angeles and select areas of Los Angeles County. New Service Plan
LADOT Transit has completed its New Service Plan, the Moving Forward Together project. This project includes a detailed Transit Service Analysis of all routes and programs within the LADOT Transit network. LADOT Transit presented initial recommendations online, within publications, at meetings, and during public hearings. Based on the comments received, LADOT Transit formulated final recommendations. The Los Angeles City Council approved the implementation of specific service changes for DASH, Commuter Express, Cityride, and the launch of LAnow. LAnow is an on demand shared-ride service.
