Project Update: Reseda Blvd Complete Streets
After three years of construction beginning in October 2020, the Reseda Blvd Complete Streets Project is nearing completion. This multi-agency initiative aims to transform Reseda Blvd between Parthenia St and Victory Blvd with extensive safety improvements.
Transformation milestones include the completion of sidewalk, driveway, and curb ramp repairs, mid-block accessible passenger loading zone ramps, and bus boarding islands. Construction is estimated to conclude this winter.
Reconstructed curb ramp at Reseda Blvd and Chase St (Before/After)
Crews are also working to complete upgrades to traffic signals on Reseda Blvd, including new left turn arrows (protected left turns) at 8 locations. These new signals will provide a separate light for drivers turning left, protecting pedestrians and reducing the chances of a collision.

Hollywood Boulevard Bike Audit
Recently, People for Mobility Justice and LADOT hosted a bike audit on Hollywood Blvd to identify current issues and determine infrastructure needs to make the street safer for all. Thanks to everyone who came out to share their feedback and expertise!

Now Hiring: Crossing Guards
LADOT is now accepting applications for new Crossing Guards. Crossing guards keep students safe traveling to and from school and help educate and instill safe, alert walking behaviors in young Angelenos. Our crossing guards are placed at schools throughout the city and help provide experience and judgment to help children navigate a school crossing, while also increasing the visibility of their presence to drivers.
