We are making progress on the new safety and mobility improvements on Venice Blvd. StreetsLA has repaired and refreshed the pavement on Venice Boulevard, and the LADOT crew is out on the streets to complete the rest of the mobility improvements. The United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) awarded the Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) $2 million through the Strengthening Mobility and Revolutionizing Transportation (SMART) grant program. With LAUSD schools closed this week, LADOT joined other city departments to mobilize resources for students and families impacted by the strike. Yesterday the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks opened up 21 recreation centers to serve as Grab & Go Locations as part of the LAUSD food distribution program.
