LADOT Installs New Traffic Signals in South LA
New safety improvements arrived in South LA this week. Our LADOT crews installed new traffic signals and upgraded crosswalks on 28th and Central where there were previously none. Data shows this intersection to be a High Injury Network street. The High-Injury Network (HIN) the 6% of city streets (over 450 miles) that accounts for almost 70% of deaths and severe injuries for people walking. This installation is an example of how LADOT uses data to guide our investments in safety improvement to keep Angelenos safe.
