FIFA World Cup Comes to Los Angeles

FIFA World Cup Comes to Los Angeles

The wait is over! The FIFA World Cup kicks off this week and LADOT is here to ensure everyone can access and enjoy the excitement.

Our region will not only host several matches at SoFi Stadium in the neighboring city of Inglewood, the City of Los Angeles will also support several FIFA sponsored fan events and stage free City-sponsored watch parties at parks all over Los Angeles. While you're there, you might notice that LADOT crews have refreshed and updated paint and signs near key locations to support these events. Check out the City’s Kick It In the Park website to see all the FIFA World Cup action happening in your neighborhood, including Family Fun Zones and PlayLA soccer clinics.
If you plan to attend any of these events, we recommend using transit to reach these destinations and avoid the hassle of parking. LADOT has adjusted and expanded transit services to facilitate access to various watch parties and fan events. You can see the full list of transit changes and routes supporting each watch event on our Transit website.

Let's GOOOOOAL!

Diagonal Parking Supports Ventura Place Businesses

Diagonal Parking Supports Ventura Place Businesses

Following a request on behalf of the businesses on Ventura Place, LADOT recently reconfigured parking on Ventura Place between Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Ventura Boulevard in Studio City. LADOT removed 23 metered parallel spaces and implemented 44 diagonal metered spaces, generating an additional 21 metered spaces to support local businesses and organizations. This upgrade also included new ADA-compliant spaces and three new solar powered smart pay stations.

Thanks to our LADOT engineers, administrative staff, and meter technicians who made this installation possible.
