Game On! Dodger Stadium Assumes New Role as COVID-19 Vaccination Site

This past Friday, as part of the larger effort to provide vaccinations in Los Angeles County, the City of Los Angeles converted the COVID-19 testing site at Dodger Stadium into an exclusive vaccination site. Currently dedicated to serving health care workers, the site at Dodger Stadium has a capacity to provide approximately 12,000 coronavirus vaccines per day. Assisting in the administration of the vaccinations, LADOT Special Traffic Operations has been tasked with traffic management to facilitate the orderly and timely queuing of vehicles at the site.

With these efforts underway, the city is now engaged in providing information to all Angelenos regarding the roll-out of the COVID-19 vaccine and its availability:

• As of Friday, January 15, 2021, healthcare workers and residents and staff of skilled nursing facilities can get vaccinated in L.A. County.
• Following healthcare workers and those associated with nursing facilities, people 65 and older are next in line. L.A. County will move to this group once enough doses are delivered by the state, likely in early February. (Click here to see what phase you'll be in.)
• More than 75 vaccination locations are currently operating in L.A. County, including one of the nation’s largest vaccination sites at Dodger Stadium. Every week, more doses will be available and more sites and providers will administer them. To receive a vaccine, individuals will need to make an appointment and bring proof of identification to their assigned vaccination site.
• The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines being offered in L.A. County require two doses. Learn when you are eligible to be vaccinated by signing up for email updates from the L.A. Reseda Boulevard Update

As part of the Complete Streets Program, the city is reconstructing Reseda Boulevard to improve safety and accessibility for all. This multi-agency project is one of the first of its kind, and will transform the boulevard by investing $19.5 million into the local community. The project will improve the speed and efficiency of buses along the Reseda Boulevard corridor and will make the street more beautiful, green, and comfortable for residents and businesses.

Improvement features of the Reseda Boulevard Complete Streets Project include sideway, driveway, and curb ramp repair, street resurfacing, traffic signal updates, bus boarding islands, street trees, additional lighting, and a new continuous protected bicycle lane.

Over the past few months, City of LA crews have been actively working on the west side of the street between Bryant St and Ingomar St, reconstructing portions of the sidewalk and driveways in greatest need of repair, rebuilding corner curb ramps to meet current accessibility standards, and rebuilding broken curbs and gutters. The result will be safer, smoother surfaces for people walking, rolling, and driving on Reseda Blvd.

As of January 2021, crews have completed these elements between Bryant St and Ingomar St, and have started on the segment between Ingomar St and Keswick St. Crews will return to these segments in 2022-2023 to install the other project elements such as signals, bus boarding islands, trees, and lighting. Note that at intersections where changes to the traffic signals are planned, corner curb ramps will be upgraded later, at the same time that the signal work is completed.

New Wayfinding Signs Installed in Los Angeles Downtown Historic Core

This past week, to assist those traveling in the Downtown Los Angeles Historic Core, LADOT crews installed new wayfinding signs to direct travelers to prominent districts and attractions in the nearby area.
