LADOT has activated resources to respond to the impacts of the storm affecting Southern California starting Sunday and into next week.
- Emergency electrical repair crews will be on hand to respond to reports of downed traffic signals
- Traffic officers and engineers will be on standby to respond to road closures and support emergency response efforts
- ATSAC will be monitoring road conditions to maintain the safe movement of traffic and reduce congestion in the event of major road and route closures
- LADOT Transit Operations will announce any changes to routes contingent on road conditions
The city advises individuals to avoid any unnecessary travel during the storm and to sign up for emergency notifications at notifyla.org
UPDATE: 8/21/21 @ 6:30 am -- Road Closures are in place in Sepulveda Basin in the San Fernando Valley between the 405 and Hayvenhurst along Burbank Blvd and on Woodley from Victory to Burbank. Another road closure is in place on Grande Vista between Washington and Emery just southeast of Downtown LA. See map of closures here.
UPDATE: 8/20/23 @ 6:00 am -- LADOT Parking Enforcement and Traffic Control has relaxed street sweeping enforcement through Monday. Other parking regulations remain in place.
