We were out in the Elysian Valley neighborhood last week installing a new left-turn signal on Fletcher and Ripple. Left turn signals are one of the most effective safety improvements for reducing crashes between turning vehicles and people crossing. The way it works allows for drivers to have a designated signal, usually a left turn arrow, that stops oncoming traffic to give drivers making a left turn the complete right of way.
