Last week, LADOT and the Bureau of Engineering broke ground on a new neighbrohood traffic circle in the Green Meadows neighborhood of South Los Angeles at 88th Place & McKinley. Today, LADOT opened the application process for its neighborhood speed hump program for the first time in two and a half years. Due to high demand, the department reached its limit of applications citywide within the first 15 minutes of opening the application.

The Los Angeles Department of Transportation is reopening its Neighborhood Speed Hump Program and expanding it thanks to additional funding and resources. Los Angeles residents will be able to apply for speed humps through the LADOT website beginning October 6, 2022 at 9 AM. The announcement of applications represents the first time the department will consider new applications since prior to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in March of 2020.

The Neighborhood Speed Hump Program is back! Beginning October 6 at 9:00 am Angelenos can submit their application for speed humps in their neighborhood. Speed humps are designed to help slow the speed of cars in residential areas so that Angelenos can enjoy safe, calm neighborhood streets.
