Street Improvements in Pacific Palisades
Earlier this month, in response to requests submitted by local residents, LADOT crews installed street improvements at the intersection of Chautauqua Boulevard and Corona del Mar in Pacific Palisades. A popular connection between Sunset Boulevard and the Pacific Coast Highway, this section of Chautauqua Boulevard has an average traffic volume of more than 30,000 vehicles per day.
To address concerns relating to pedestrian safety at the intersection, LADOT installed multiple improvements aimed at the improvement of safety for those who walk, which include a new painted pedestrian refuge island with bollards, additional pedestrian street signs, new pavement markings, a realignment of road striping, and raised pavement markings on the intersection’s eastern side.
We Want to Hear Your Feedback!
LADOT is on the road to building improved streets in Los Angeles and needs your assistance to identify priorities to help achieve this goal. To help inform this process, LADOT seeks to gather as much feedback as possible from people who use our city’s street network in order to determine which streets are most in need of improvement.
LADOT asks all interested parties to please fill out and submit responses to the following project surveys:
- Adams Boulevard Safety Project
- 4th Street & New Hampshire Avenue Improvements
- Avenue 50 & Meridian Street Intersection Improvements
- Lincoln Fast Forward Project
- McKinley Avenue & 88th Place Intersection Improvements
- Reseda Boulevard Complete Streets Project
- Telfair Avenue & Montague Street Intersection Improvements
Your responses will help shape both the future of our city’s streets and the safety of those who use them.
LADOT Crews
No matter the task, LADOT crews are dedicated to getting the job done to keep Los Angeles moving.
