Join LADOT for the Pico Boulevard Open House
LADOT is in the final stages of the design process for the Pico Boulevard Safety and Mobility Safety Plan Project! LADOT created a proposed design for the project area that adds protected bike lanes between Crenshaw Boulevard and Figueroa Street, a continuous center turn lane, new signalized crossings at Manhattan Place and New Hampshire Avenue, new curb ramps, and sidewalk repairs.
This redesign was developed following extensive community outreach, including pop-up and tabling events, presentations to local schools and neighborhood councils, a social media campaign, and a project survey. Community members shared their concerns about dangerous speeding on Pico Boulevard and difficult pedestrian crossings. Across more than 1,000 survey responses, 74% indicated a preference for a protected bike facility. The message was clear: Pico-Union residents want safer streets, better pedestrian connections to local businesses, and a dedicated space for bikes and scooters.
LADOT will be hosting an Open House this Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 10am-1pm at Alvarado Terrace Park to provide community members with a chance to learn more about the project and ask questions in person. There will be free food, giveaways, and a bounce house! RSVP Community Event for Pico Blvd project. I hope to see you there.

Help LADOT Improve Access to Dodger Stadium
The City of Los Angeles is conducting a transportation study to identify potential strategies to improve access to and from Dodger Stadium and reduce impacts on neighboring communities. The study will assess event-day and non-event day conditions across all travel modes and the impacts on surrounding neighborhoods.
LADOT is conducting outreach efforts to generate community feedback and gain a better understanding of the safety and accessibility concerns for getting to and from Dodger Stadium. With your feedback, solutions will be identified to benefit local communities and improve stadium access. Complete the Dodger Stadium Transportation Study survey by Monday, July 13, 2026, for a chance to win a $50 gift card!

Last Chance to Share Feedback on Pico Boulevard
Between June and November 2025, LADOT staff were out in the community, sharing information about the Pico Boulevard Safety and Mobility Plan Project and learning about the needs and priorities of local residents and businesses. Based on the public’s feedback, LADOT is redesigning Pico Boulevard between Crenshaw Boulevard and Figueroa Street to include one travel lane in each direction, a center turn lane, and protected bike lanes. The project will also install new pedestrian signals at the New Hampshire Avenue and Manhattan Place intersections, and make improvements to sidewalks and curb ramps.
As the project enters the final design phase, the project team is reconnecting with residents and businesses to share additional details and promote awareness. Submit comments on proposed improvements via the Pico Blvd project feedback form by May 31, 2026.
LADOT will also host an Open House and Community Event on Saturday, May 30th from 10am-1pm at Alvarado Terrace Park, 1342 S. Alvarado St. The community will have the chance to speak to LADOT staff and learn about the project design. RSVP to the Pico Blvd Project Open House to let us know you’ll be there!
