Share Your Feedback on Mobility Near Dodger Stadium
Dodger Stadium is one of our City’s most iconic venues, hosting baseball games, concerts, and other major events with tens of thousands of attendees. That type of demand can create issues of congestion, parking shortages, accessibility concerns, and other challenges for visitors and the many Angelenos who live and work near Elysian Park.
LADOT is conducting a transportation study to identify potential strategies to improve mobility near Dodger Stadium and address these impacts. This study will look at conditions on both event and non-event days and provide both short and long term recommendations for improving the Dodger Stadium experience. These improvements will connect with LADOT’s Sunset Boulevard Safety and Mobility Project, helping to create a safer and more cohesive transportation network for all modes of travel.
If you attend events at Dodger Stadium or live in the area, we want to hear from you. Complete the Dodger Stadium Transportation Study survey by Monday, July 13, 2026, to share your feedback and receive a chance to win a $50 gift card. We look forward to reading your responses.

HAWK Signal To Be Activated on Beverly Boulevard
LADOT, Mayor Karen Bass, and Council District 5 gathered last week to celebrate the groundbreaking of a temporary HAWK signal at Beverly Boulevard and Mansfield Drive. This HAWK signal will provide additional protection to the high volume of pedestrians in this area, especially on weekends from community members attending faith services.
Planned activation of the temporary HAWK signal will be mid-June. LADOT anticipates the HAWK signal will be made permanent within five months following the construction of new access ramps in July and the installation of new foundations to support the signal. This work will be completed by LADOT, the Department of Water and Power, StreetsLA, and the Bureau of Street Lighting.
Unlike traditional flashing beacons, HAWK signals provide drivers with a steady red light when pedestrians are crossing, making them more visible and safer. This HAWK will be equipped with contactless “wave” buttons that do not require being touched. It will also activate automatically from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday, during peak pedestrian activity.

Safety Improvements Installed in Griffith Park
LADOT, Recreation and Parks, and Council District 4 recently celebrated the opening of Phase 3 of the Griffith Park Safety and Active Transportation Improvement Plan (SATIP). Phase 3 improvements include enhanced bicycling infrastructure on Zoo Drive and Crystal Springs Drive, as well as new speed humps and narrowed travel lanes on Crystal Springs Drive. These features are designed to slow vehicle speeds, reduce cut through traffic in the park, and expand separated and protective spaces for active transportation.
By prioritizing safety over vehicle throughput, the project introduces critical infrastructure designed to slow traffic and reclaim roadway space for the thousands of residents who bike through Griffith Park for recreation and transportation. The completion of Phase 3 represents a significant step toward the long-term goals of reducing cut-through vehicle traffic within Griffith Park and encouraging sustainable transportation options.

Thank You for Joining us at the Pico Boulevard Open House
LADOT recently hosted an Open House and Community Event celebrating the Pico Boulevard Safety and Mobility Plan Project. Between June and November 2025, LADOT staff were out in the community learning about the needs and priorities of local residents and businesses. Based on the public’s feedback, LADOT is redesigning Pico Boulevard between Crenshaw Boulevard and Figueroa Street to include one travel lane in each direction, a center turn lane, and protected bike lanes. The project will also install new pedestrian signals at the New Hampshire Avenue and Manhattan Place intersections, and make improvements to sidewalks and curb ramps.
The Open House provided the community with the chance to speak to LADOT staff and learn about the project design. Thanks to all who came out and shared their feedback with us! To learn more about the Pico Boulevard Safety and Mobility Plan Project, visit the Pico Blvd project website.

Attend a Westside Bus Connection Community Open House
The Westside Cities Council of Governments (WSCCOG) invites Angelenos to join them for the next series of community open houses for the Westside Bus Connection Program, including a first look at design alternatives by segment. Your participation will help refine segment-specific design concepts and ensure the project reflects the community’s needs.
The Westside Bus Connection Program is a quick build initiative focused on improving the bus rider experience along key corridors across the Westside, including Santa Monica Boulevard (west of Beverly Hills), Sepulveda Boulevard (between UCLA and Westchester), and La Cienega & Jefferson Boulevards (West Hollywood to Culver City).
If approved by the WSCCOG member agencies, improvements would be implemented with low cost materials that could be installed quickly in time for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Westside Bus Connection Program aims to make bus travel faster, safer, and more reliable through targeted improvements.
There are two upcoming open houses:
Saturday, June 6, 2026, 10am-12pm
West LA Civic Center, 1645 Corinth Ave #101, Los Angeles, CA 90025
Wednesday, June 10, 2026 1pm-2:30pm
Register for Westside Bus Connection Virtual meeting.
