Today, LADOT implemented the first partial street closure as part of the L.A. Al Fresco program. L.A. Last month — in order to balance the needs of local businesses and the health concerns surrounding the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic — the city launched L.A. Al Fresco, a new program that is supported by LADOT and which allows restaurants to expand dining areas into parking lanes, driving lanes, and adjacent private lots to encourage safe physical distancing for customers. LADOT Parking Enforcement will be extending current relaxed parking enforcement regulations until July 6 to support Los Angeles residents as they stay safer at home.
LADOT has also extended the deadline for payment on existing parking fines to July 6. While residents are encouraged to pay any existing fines if they are able, there will be no increase in fines for failure to pay until July 6.
