LADOT Supporting Restaurants Citywide
On April 2, LADOT announced a new effort to help restaurants and other foodservice providers cope with increased demand for pick-up and delivery options caused by the outbreak of COVID-19. With all dine-in services temporarily suspended, delivery and take-out options have become the only source of revenue for many Los Angeles area food establishments. However, some locations lacked adequate parking to support the increased need for parking.
To support these essential businesses, LADOT established new "Food Pick-Up Zones" allowing restaurants and food providers to apply for a designated parking space and sign for pick-up and delivery services. LADOT printed and installed the sign free of charge for approved applicants within three business days of an initial application. Since launching the program LADOT has installed over 250 signs at locations around Los Angeles. Check out locations where signs have been installed on the map below.
If you own a restaurant or food provider and would like to apply for a pick-up zone sign, you may do so here.
