On April 6, 2022, the Los Angeles City Council directed LADOT to adopt an updated prioritization process for citing and towing abandoned and oversized vehicles, as outlined in this report. In compliance with City of Los Angeles Ordinance No. 187219, PROOF OF COVID-19 VACCINATION is required for individuals eligible for COVID vaccination to enter all indoor Los Angeles Department of Transportation facilities, including all indoor public counters and services effective November 8, 2021. Enforcement begins November 29, 2021. To accommodate unvaccinated individuals, LADOT offers virtual service counters.

LADOT Cityride, which provides on-demand transportation to eligible seniors and individuals with accessibility needs, is offering “Express Lane” service to three COVID-19 vaccination sites in the Los Angeles area starting today. The Express Lane service will pick up Cityride members who have a scheduled vaccination appointment on request and provide transportation directly to the front of the line. The vehicle will wait while the individual receives their vaccination and return them to their point of origin, at no extra charge.

Last week, the City of Los Angeles announced that AIM Brands LLC — a distributor of COVID-19 solution products such as masks, gloves, sanitizer, tests, and air purifiers — has collaborated with the city and the C19 Coalition to donate 5 million three-ply masks to directly benefit Angelenos as they engage in public activities, with the first distribution installment aiding passengers who utilize LADOT Transit’s transportation systems. At Mayor Garcetti's directive, the Los Angeles Department of Transportation has implemented an economic relief measure that will allow motorists an early payment discount on citations.
