LADOT is Resuming DASH Fares

This Saturday, February 1st, LADOT will resume fare collection on DASH buses. This will support the City’s ongoing efforts to deliver safe, reliable, and top-quality transit services to neighborhoods across Los Angeles.

With fares at 50 just cents per ride (35 cents with a TAP card)—and only 25 cents for seniors, medicare recipients, and riders with disabilities (15 cents with a TAP card), DASH remains one of the most affordable ways to get around town. LADOT's Role in Emergency, Evacuation, and Repopulation Efforts 

LADOT’s dedicated staff are always ready and willing to provide support in the event of an emergency, and the recent wildfires have been no different.

While the City’s Fire and Police Departments are responsible for issuing and enforcing evacuation orders, LADOT provides critical public safety support to these agencies during an evacuation. LADOT Responds to LA Wildfire Emergency 

I’m writing to you today following a week of unprecedented fires that caused immeasurable destruction across Los Angeles City and County. In the face of this tragedy, City employees have sprung into action to assist with evacuation, emergency response, and recovery efforts.

In the first 24 hours of this emergency, LADOT signal crews restored communications to over 1000 traffic signals, including signals in evacuation areas, helping facilitate neighborhood evacuations. Our crews are continuing to respond to reports of downed and damaged...

  

LADOT Responds to Fire and Severe Wind 

As multiple City, County, and State agencies continue to respond to fires and severe winds that have caused immense damage, I want to assure you that LADOT and our City partners are taking immediate measures to keep residents safe.

As of Wednesday evening, multiple evacuation orders remain in effect. An up to date map of evacuation areas and active road closures can be seen online at https://experience.arcgis.com.
