African American Heritage Month Spotlight - NAACP Sign Installation

Wilmington Safe Streets Celebration and Bike Ride

This weekend residents joined us on Anaheim Street for a slow-paced bike ride to celebrate the new street design in Wilmington. During this ride through the neighborhood, participants learned of the many improvements that have come to the area as well as some of the new improvements that are on its way. In February, the City of Los Angeles celebrates African American Heritage Month. This month we will be highlighting various people and places significant to Los Angeles African American heritage as well as events that celebrate the extensive contributions of the African American community to the lives we live today.

Groundbreaking For A New Traffic Improvement In The NE Valley With More To Come

This week Los Angeles held the 38th annual Kingdom Day parade in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Over the past week, LA experienced more heavy rain storms which resulted in flooding, debris flows, and road closures at various points throughout the city. Los Angeles Awarded $200 Million+ In Grant Awards For Active Transportation Projects

Multiple active transportation projects in Los Angeles are receiving funding after the city was awarded state grants for 6 different projects totaling over $200 million. The grants were approved by a vote of the  California Transportation Commission as part of the State of California's Active Transportation program which supports transformative transportation projects that encourage transportation through active modes such as walking, biking, and taking transit.
