Last week, LADOT Crews were out on Florence & Raymond to activate a new full traffic signal in South L.A. The location of Florence and Raymond previously had no prior existing traffic signal. Adding the full signal to the intersection will allow for a safer, more efficient flow of traffic for drivers and pedestrians by assigning priorities to various traffic movements..

Full signals take a bit more work because engineers are essentially working from scratch and must work around other existing infrastructure like power poles...

This weekend residents joined us on Anaheim Street for a slow-paced bike ride to celebrate the new street design in Wilmington. This month we will be highlighting various people and places significant to Los Angeles African American heritage as well as events that celebrate the extensive contributions of the African American community to the lives we live today.

This week LADOT joined Councilmember Monica Rodriguez for a groundbreaking for a new pedestrian hybrid beacon at the intersection of Haddon Avenue and Paxton Street which is the first in a series of improvements for 9 different intersections in the NE Valley.
