LADOT Hosts Event to Highlight Improvements on San Vincente Boulevard

This past Saturday, LADOT hosted a community event on San Vicente Boulevard to share information and gather feedback about the San Vicente Safety & Mobility Project. During the event, more than 100 community members stopped at stations along the project corridor to talk with staff and volunteers about how to make San Vicente Boulevard a safer, calmer, and more comfortable neighborhood thoroughfare. LADOT was joined at the event by community organizations Destination Pico, City Plants, Brotherhood Crusade, and the Los Angeles Conservation Corps to help share information with members of the public.

As a safety improvement project, the San Vicente Safety & Mobility Project will implement the city’s mobility plan policies to prioritize the boulevard for high-quality enhancements and a more comfortable street for all users. Notable features of the project include two miles of improvements for protected bicycle lanes, six upgraded continental crosswalks, and pedestrian safety improvements at five intersections.

For more information about the San Vicente Boulevard improvements, including details about how to sign up for the project mailing list, please click here. Additionally, LADOT asks all interested parties to submit commentary about this project through the project feedback map, located on the San Vicente project web page.
