LA Riverway Phase IV Extension Project- Virtual Outreach Meeting
Tomorrow LADOT will be hdigtial rendering of cyclists on pathwayosting a virtual meeting for the LA Riverway Phase IV Extension Project. We encourage you to join us online from 6 PM to 7 PM and give your feedback about the extension project as well as learn more information about where the project stands and what’s to come.
The LA Riverway Path travels 7 miles from Elysian Valley (Barclay St) on the south end to Griffith Park (Riverside Dr) on the north end.
This project will extend the existing path by one mile from its current terminus at Riverside Drive/Zoo Drive to Forest Lawn Drive. The expansion will continue efforts to revitalize the Los Angeles River with increased access, amenities, recreational opportunities, and stormwater management. Construction on this project also includes the addition of an equestrian trail that will connect to an existing trail. Currently, the project is in the design phase as we incorporate feedback from the community into a final design proposal. Construction is projected to begin by the Summer of 2025 and is estimated to be completed by the Spring of 2028.
Those who wish to attend can RSVP for the virtual meeting at the link here and they can learn more about the project on the LADOT Liveable Streets website. You can also fill out the project survey to give your feedback.

Bilingual Glossary of Transportation Terms
Not too long ago LADOT published the first-of-its-kind Bilingual Glossary of Transportation Terms. Accessibility to safe and necessary forms of transportation for everyone, no matter where you live is of top priority at LADOT. With this first edition of the glossary, technical terms for transportation treatments will be available to Angelenos to effectively advocate their needs and help remove the language barrier. The glossary has over 100 engagement terms commonly used in transportation planning translated into both English and Spanish.
We worked with many partners who bring on-the-ground experience working with Spanish speaking communities on transportation issues to the technical language that can too often be inaccessible or imprecise. We expect this glossary to be updated frequently as we receive feedback from the communities.
Leave your feedback and view the glossary.
LADOT Now Hiring Crossing Guards
LADOT is now accepting applications for new Crossing Guards. Crossing guards keep students safe traveling to and from school and help educate and instill safe, alert walking behaviors in young Angelenos. Our crossing guards are placed at schools throughout the city and help provide experience and judgment to help children navigate a school crossing, while also increasing the visibility of their presence to drivers.
If you are interested in applying for a crossing guard position you can visit the website for the application and instructions on how to apply.
Participate in our Community Surveys:
